She marked the rise of <\/span><b>the second generation of ORMA trimarans<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> designed by VPLP. Sistership of Alain Gautier\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Broc\u00e9liande<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (launched the previous year), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Groupama\u00a01<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> featured floats from Laurent Bourgnon\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primagaz<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>small foils<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a pivoting mast and sharper bows than her ancestors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Europe 1 New Man Star 2000 - Franck Cammas sur Groupama 1\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PolgNxtpKwQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Franck Cammas was 25 at the time and had absolutely no multihull experience when he took the helm of his first trimaran. But it only took him a few short months to start winning.
