In addition to <\/span>a slightly more versatile hull<\/b> than the previous two foilers (<\/span>Safran<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Banque Populaire\u00a0VIII<\/span><\/i>), she differed from her sistership through the <\/span>specific choices <\/b>made by the team, such as the position of the ballast tanks, shape of the foils, as well as the deck layouts favoured by the skipper.<\/span><\/p>\n

Building on the firm\u2019s previous collaborations with <\/span>Jean-Pierre Dick<\/b>, VPLP benefited considerably from his <\/span>experience<\/b> as a veteran of three editions of the Vend\u00e9e Globe. Winning the 2017 Transat Jacques Vabre and coming second in the Route du Rhum with <\/span>Yann Eli\u00e8s <\/b>at the helm, the boat then ran the 2020 Vend\u00e9e Globe as <\/span>Prysmian Group<\/span><\/i> with skipper <\/span>Giancarlo Pedote<\/b>, achieving an honourable 8th place.<\/span><\/p>\n
